Each AK T9iE earbud consists of seven discrete elements, all specified without compromise and all fitted together, by hand, in Germany. From Beyerdynamic’s patented Tesla magnet assembly to the gold-plated MMCX connectors, AK T9iE is a triumph of technology and design.
The cable that runs from the AK T9iE earbud to your Astell&Kern digital audio player is similarly overspecified. Silver-plated oxygen-free copper inside non-migration jacketing guarantees the torrents of complex, high-resolution audio information travel exactly as they should, delivering extraordinarily high standards of performance.
We’ve made the acoustic vent port slightly larger and repositioned it in the middle of the outer cover plate of the earbud. This way the AK T9iE bass response extends all the way down to an ultra-deep 8Hz, is textured and controlled, and loaded with fine detail.
In collaboration with Beyerdynamic we’ve developed a specially engineered two-way acoustic filter that’s positioned just behind the eartip. As well as offering real neutrality and purity to the treble response, it also offers protection from earwax to the entire assembly.
Just like our digital audio players, AK T9iE has a strong design identity. As well as being ergonomically ideal for long listening sessions, the jewel-like carved planes on the exterior housing respond differently to changing lighting conditions - making our in-ear monitors look as distinctive as they sound.
